Christine DELORME

Christine Delorme is a senior researcher and leads the ComBac team with Vincent Juillard. After several years of research on the environmental adaptation of lactic bacteria, she developed a project on the analysis of the population structure of streptococcus species belonging to the salivarius group. She then developed a new thematic on the interaction of dietary and commensal streptococci with the host and identified the anti-inflammatory properties of these bacterial species, as well as the anti-hyperglycaemic properties of bacterial compounds, leading to 2 patents (https://data.inpi.fr/brevets/FR3114740 ; https://data.inpi.fr/brevets/FR3114743). She has coordinated 2 innovation projects (Prematuration: TreatDiab 2019, Idex UPSaclay; Maturation: NovaTreat 2022-2024, SATT Paris Saclay) to identify the mode of action of a bacterial metabolite that regulates host glycaemia. She is co-founder of the start-up NODIA Metabolics (2024), which is developing a dietary supplement for people with pre-diabetes. She is also involved in a number of projects as part of the ComBac team’s new strategy, aimed at characterising the contribution of bacterial fermentation to the organoleptic, nutritional and human health qualities of fermented legume matrices.
