After working for 6 years in the hospital sector as a laboratory technician, Magali Calabre resumed her studies to deepen her knowledge in microbiology. Subsequently, she joined MICALIS in 2011, through a secondment from the public service. Since then she works with Prof. Matthieu Jules on genetic regulations related to the carbon metabolism of the bacterium Bacillus subtilis, on the development of genome engineering strategies of bacteria, phages and consortia and on their characterization. She is also responsible for part of the unit’s common orders.
