Giovanna Orianne is an engineer in the ProbiHôte team since 2021, with expertise in microbiology, cell culture and animal experimentation, notably for colitis models in mice.
In the group headed by Prof. Harry Sokol, she works on inflammatory bowel diseases to understand the impact of the microbiota on intestinal inflammation and to propose new therapeutic strategies.
Previously, she obtained a Master’s degree in Preclinical Experimentation Management at the University of Caen and completed 2 end-of-studies internships, one at Pasteur Lille where she helped set up procedures to facilitate animal monitoring and welfare, and the other at a CRO where she assisted in the creation of a new in vivo model for ovarian cancer.
