Tristan Rossignol has a PhD in food sciences from Université Montpellier II (2004). He first spent 2 years as a post-doctoral fellow (2004-2006) at the University College Dublin (Irlande) in Butler’s group, working on genomic of a pathogenic yeast. Then he joined the Unité Biologie et Pathogénicité Fongiques (INRA USC2019) leads by C. D’Enfert at Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) as a post-doctoral fellow for 4 years (2006-2010), working on new antifungal compounds and biofilm development of pathogenic yeasts. In 2010 he has been recruited as a research scientist in the Bimlip Team in the MICALIS Institute (INRAE) to work on system and synthetic biology of the yeast Yarrowia lipolytica. Since 2023, he is research director, PI and co-lead the Cosynus team. His research interests are now turned on yeast synthetic biology and multi-species synthetic consortia as microbial cell factories.
