After the completion of my master’s program in Biomedical Omics at the University of Milan-Statale, I worked in the field of microbiota and cancer immunotherapy at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO). Currently, I am a PhD student for the Innovation Thérapeutique du Fondamental à l’Appliqué (ITFA) school. My passion and expertise lie in exploring and characterizing microbial communities in symbiosis with humans.
My thesis investigates the ecotoxic effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on human microbiota, investigating their role in shaping the functional composition of bacterial communities. By dissecting bacterial detoxification strategies and mechanisms of resilience, I aim to predict the possible effects of exposure on host health and propose nutritional strategies to mitigate this interaction and restore homeostasis.
