I’m involved in many of the team’s studies (like pseudolysogeny or virulent phages vs. pathogenic bacteria), which involve isolating, cultivating and characterizing virulent or temperate bacteriophages infecting numerous bacterial species such as Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis and faecium or, more recently, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (although I I have also worked on Roseburia intestinalis and Faecalibacterium prausnitzii in the past). To do this, I use, adapt and improve numerous phage-specific microbiology techniques (liquid or confluent lyses, spot and plaque assays, adsorption assays, preparations for microscopy…). ) I also carry out molecular biology work (total, plasmid and phage DNA extractions, (q)PCRs, cloning, etc.). Alongside these research activities, I am responsible for managing stocks and orders within the team, and act as a prevention assistant within the institute.
