I work as technician in the laboratory of Professor Harry Sokol. I joined the team in 2014 to investigate the role of the microbiota in immunity, especially in IBD (Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis).
My skills range from setting up animal experiments to isolating microorganisms (microbiology), identifying them or tracking gene expression (molecular biology), and isolating and culturing immune cells (cell culture, immunology). I have also expertise in fungal microbiology.
Thanks to my expertise in the microbiology of anaerobic bacteria, I am one of the leaders of the Combiotics workshop (Workshop for the Isolation and Characterisation of Commensal and Probiotic Bacteria) of the ProbiHôte team.
I also joined the CultissimE/O project as operational manager. CultissimE/O is a shared high-throughput culturomics station applied to the human microbiota in order to gain access the commensal species that promote microbiota balance.
