Sandrine Auger is a senior researcher.
She obtained her PhD from Paris-Cité University in the Antoine Danchin Lab at Pasteur Institut. Since 2005, she is employed as research scientist at INRAE. She joined the team “Interactions of commensal and probiotic microorganisms with the host” in 2018. Her work is focused on deciphering the mechanisms of action of intestinal microorganisms of health interest such as bacteria from the genus Faecalibacterium. She also studies the adaptation mechanisms of Faecalibacterium to oxidative stress generated in a context of intestinal inflammation.
