Véronique Douard has been studying the impact of dietary sugars on metabolic pathologies and gut physiology for more than 10 years (19 published articles). She was a postdoctoral fellow and then a research associate professor (2005 to 2013) at Rutgers (NJ, US) where she studied extensively the regulation of intestinal fructose absorption.
